To clear the extra rush of passengers during the Deepavali festival between Bangalore and Tiruchchirappalli and Mysore and Chennai via Bangalore South Western Railways will operate special trains.
Train No 06571, the Bangalore-Tiruchchirappalli Express Special, will depart Bangalore City station at 5.15 am from October 28 to November 10 (14 specials only) and arrive at Tiruchchirappalli Junction at 1 pm on the same day.En route, the Express Special will stop at the Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarpet, depart at Jolarpettai “A” Cabin, Tiruppattur, Morappur, Bommidi, Salem, Rasipuram, Namakkal, Karur, Kulitalai and Pettaivaytalai.
On the return journey, Train No 06572 will depart Tiruchchirappalli station at 2.30 pm from October 28 to November 10 (14 specials only) and arrive at the Bangalore City station at 11.15 pm that same night. The Express Special will have a total of 14 coaches, including six second-class chair cars, six general second-class coaches and two second-class luggage-cum-brake vans.
Train No 01035, the Mysore-Chennai Central Weekly Express Special, will depart Mysore station at 10.55 pm on Fridays, with effect from November 1 to 15 (three specials only) and arrive at Chennai Central station at 9.20 am, the next day. En route, the Weekly Express special will stop at Mandya, Bangalore City, Bangalore Cantonment, Bangarpet, Jolarpettai Junction, Vaniyambadi, Gudiyattam, Katpadi Junction, Arakkonam Junction and Perambur.
In the return direction, Train No 0136 will depart Chennai Central station at 8 pm on Saturdays, with effect from November 2 to 16 (three specials only) and arrive at Mysore station at 5.15 am the next day.
