SMS alerts on EB charges

Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation has taken the initiative to remind the customers to alert its customers about the bill payment through SMSs. Consumers who had registered their mobile number with Tangedco website will soon get an SMS on his cell phone alerting him of the current consumption charge and due date besides payment confirmation. This new SMS alert system will be launched by January next year to help consumers keep track of their payment due date to ensure timely payment of their bills. SMSs would be sent to all those consumers who had registered their mobile numbers in the Tangedco website for online bill payment.
