More reflectors for city roads

More reflectors will be erected in and around Taramani. Chennai Traffic Police have suggested to higher authorities for more mirrors to ensure accident-free zones. An official said ,” With the neighborhood comprises of busy areas like Adyar, Thiruvanmiyur and Perungudi along the arterial stretch of Rajiv Gandhi Salai the facilities will facilitate hassle-free travelling amid increase of traffic near the IT corridor.” The official said that reflectors have been erected on 100 Feet Road Taramani as part of the first phase plan. He also said that apart from main stretches, reflectors will be provided at turnings near signals and bends of interior roads.
Motorists using 100 Feet Road at Taramani feel that reflectors have reduced congestion to some extent as drivers can negotiate other motorists and avoid close movements. It is unsafe to travel amid buses and lorries especially during peak hours and reflectors are very useful in such situation.
