Depression in the bay to cross Tamil Nadu today

Tamil Nadu will experience heavy rains as the depression over the Bay of Bengal is expected to cross the state’s coast on Saturday. The forecast has prompted revenue administration to be on alert.
"The depression over the Bay of Bengal moved southwest and lay centered at about 420 km east-southeast of Nagapattinam. The system would move northwest direction and cross north Tamil Nadu coast near Nagapattinam on Saturday evening", Deputy Director General of Meteorology, S R Ramanan said on Friday.
