Safer way of sanitation

As a part of the state government’s initiative to develop safer sanitation facilities to the public, around 385 locations of the state will soon get “Namma toilets”. The very first “Namma toilet” was built in February at Tambaram and this received huge response from the people.
The highlights of these toilets are: good ventilation, proper lighting and proper water supply.This toilet at Tambaram has been found to get used by more than 500 people.
