Chennai Head post office suspends 24-hour speed post booking facility

The 24-hour speed post booking facility at Anna Road Head Office has been discontinued due to the ongoing Chennai Metro rail works.
Press release issued by Postmaster General, Chennai City Region said "The speed post booking counter will not function from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. from December 1".
However, the 24 hours Speed Post Booking will continue to be available from Speed Post Hub at St. Thomas Mount and Chennai Sorting Office near Chennai Railway Station.
Anna Road Counter will, however, function on Sundays and Holidays.
