Separate Dome for Other City Buses-Tambaram Bus Terminus

Due to the heavy transportation congestion prevailing in Tambaram bus terminus, separate stands are allotted for other city ad inter-state buses. Since lack of permanent bus terminus, the buses are parked in the G.S.T Road and only few buses are parked in the Sanatorium Mini bus stand. The buses are parked in such a way it is hiding the road signal and also parked in the pedestrian pathway. There prevails heavy congestion in the peak timings from 8 A.M to 11 A.M and from 5 P.M to 9P.M.

In G.S.T Road, the other city buses has to park their buses in the overbridge landing area and drop the passengers and an iron barrier is placed for this purpose. The same way, the city buses should go inside the bus terminus to drop the passengers. 

Traffic Inspector Mr. Vengatesan states that, due to this action, for the past two days the congestion got reduced tremendously during peak hours. In order to get long term relief these steps has to be followed continuously by the bus drivers, conductors, transportation officers and passengers. Also the pedestrians requested for the clearance of road side shops for their ease
