GPS parking to help motorists

Following the removal of pavement shops in Pondy Bazaar at T Nagar, the pavements are free and obstructions have been removed. However, the vehicles are parked unevenly and cause obstruction.
Chennai Corporation is planning a Parking Regulation
Cell to manage parking through GPS.
Even on the on-going projects of multi-level parking
in Chennai will have GPS enabled parking facility.
The employees of the
Parking Cell will monitor the parking meters and the space available to
park. A digital board will be in continuous operation informing the parking
availability.
