60 Thousand Bank Employees Strike in TamilNadu : Bank Services Frozen

All the bank employees were involved in strike yesterday all over India. On behalf of the 9 conjoined committee of Bank Union Association, the strike was held on. This strike is held on for dropping out several reformation rules like, Wage Increase, Privatization of Bank, cancelling the credit on great officials, dropping out the action on great officials and so on. Approximately around 8 Lakh bank employees were participated in the strike. 

In TamilNadu around 60 thousand employees from 14 thousand bank branches join in the strike. Both the Nationalized and Privatized bank employees are actively involved in it.  

I.C.I.C.I, Axis, I.D.B.I, H.D.F.C banks alone operated without any change. Even though some of the few banks are found open, but the operation was completely stopped. Both the Money transaction and Cheque transactions are frozen. Bank deeds linking with Foreign exchange, imports and exports are also got frozen.  

In entire TamilNadu, around Rs.3000 Crore valued, 5 Lakh Check transactions got affected. In about 1400 banks in Chennai, about Rs.2000 Crore valued 3 Lakh Chequetransactions got frozen.
