Government Hospitals’ operation theatres to be upgraded

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa has sanctioned Rs . 20 Crores wards upgradation of operation theatres in government hospitals.

In order to provide the best quality treatment to the patients who come to the government hospitals with different diseases, the chief minister has ordered the upgradation of operation theatres by sanctioning Rs. 20 Crores.

Accordingly, upgradation of 4 operation theatres in the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital has started at the cost of Rs. 3 Crores. 10 operation theatres in Stanley Hospital are being upgraded at the cost of Rs. 3 Crores. 8 operation theatres in Madurai Rajaji government hospital will be upgraded at the cost of Rs. 2.5 Cores.

Similarly, 2 operation theatres in Tirunelveli Medical college hospitals are being upgraded at the cost of Rs. 1.25 Crores. 3 operation theatres at Chingleput government medical college hospital are being upgraded at the cost of Rs. 1 Core. 2 operation theatres in Tanjore hospital are upgraded at the cost of Rs. 1.25 Crores. 

8 other hospitals in different will have the operation theatres rebuilt at a total cost of Rs. 8 Crores at the rate of Rs. 50 Lakhs per hospital.
