Announcement on distribution of mosquito nets

The municipality meeting headed by Mayor Saidhai Dhuraisamy was held here at Chennai. Assistant Mayor Benjamin and Commissioner Vikram Kapoor took part in the meet. During this session, the Mayor stated that nearly 5 lakh mosquito nets will be distributed to the people residing at waterway tracks in order to protect them from diseases caused by mosquitoes.
Each net will cost Rs 169 and for this, rupees eight crore and forty eight lakhs is planned to be spent.
