Even though the submerged water plant produced around 1,450 MW yesterday, the electricity necessitated around 12 thousand MW in TamilNadu.

In TamilNadu, the requirement of electricity is above than the produced electricity. Hence to balance the lack of electricity, addition two hours of power cut are occurring in Chennai and many other places. As per yesterday status the power supply production includes: Thermal plant produces around 2,440 MW; Submerged Water plant produces around 1450 MW; Fuel Gas plant produces around 310 MW; Windmill plant produces around 330 MW.  From the central Electricity board produces 2700MW and the other state electricity produces 3800 MW.

Hence the total production of the electricity increases from 10,910 MW to 11,030 MW. Even though the needed electricity is for about 12,090 MW, the deficient electricity ranges around 1,060 MW. Thus many places faced a two hours power cut, as usual.
