Wind energy helps reducing outage

Further to the severe power cuts at Mettur, North Chennai and Vallur power plants, the windmills have come forward to rescue the power generation department of Tamil Nadu. As in the recent days, the northeastern winds are found very strong, the windmills are now increasing their power generation which in turn has helped to balance the severe power cut issues faced by the public.
As the maximum, 1,300 Megawatt of power was generated on Tuesday. K.Kasthurirangaian, wind power association chairman stated that wind energy can be obtained between November and March, whenever there is a considerable amount of wind.
