Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa to visit Coonoor

Coonoor is getting ready to receive the Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Saturday. The places which the Chief Minister is likely to pass through while proceeding from Kodanad, where she is now staying, have been spruced up.
The ground at the Saint Joseph’s Boy’s Higher Secondary School where she will address the public has been a beehive of activity for the past couple of days.
Security personnel have started inspecting the venue and its surroundings.Official sources told that Jayalalithaa would launch the Pongal gift scheme and also set in motion the distribution of free sarees and dhoties to 1.84 crore card holders in the State.
She will inaugurate a number of schemes and buildings and lay the foundation stone for new projects.Many of her cabinet colleagues and senior officials are expected to participate in the programme.
