organized special buses from Chennai for those who intend to celebrate Pongal
holidays at their native places. These buses will cover all the major cities in
the sate. There will be 600 buses on 10th January; 1,325 buses on 11th January,
1,1175 on 12th January, and 339 buses on 13th January. Depending on the demand
on 14th, special buses will be run.
Similarly, special
buses will be run from all the other major cities in the state: 345 buses on
10th January, 750 buses on 11th January, 760 buses on 12th January, and 1,220
buses on 13th January. To facilitate the return journey of the passengers after
celebrating Pongal in their native places, special buses organized from the
other cities to Chennai as per the orders from the Chief Minister.For travel
above 300 km distance, reservation for tickets can be done at www.tsntc.in.
The reservation for
the journey from Chennai can be done at 25 computerized counters to be opened
