In TamilNadu, the drive of taking photos for Aadhaar card was initiated since 2011. This operation is carried out through each districts Corporation and Municipality offices. Excluding Chennai, about 70 percent of the Aadhaar work got completed in all districts. Comparatively Chennai shows only less percentage in Aadhaar work completion.
In this stance, the drive of Photo section for Aadhaar card is getting extended till March in Chennai. Regarding this Aadhaar card, the statement given by Public Census department Assistant Director, KrishnaRao, In TamilNadu till now, around 4, 84, 12, 729 (71.81 %) people were undergone photo section for Aadhaar card. In this count about 4, 27, 44,931 people got their Aadhaar card.
In about 23 districts, more than 70% of people took photos for the Aadhaar card. In 8 districts, the work completion percentage just crossed 65 to 70 percent. In Chennai only 23, 59, 896 (56.82%) of the people took photo for Aadhaar card. Among this count nearly 19, 10, 378 (80.95%) people got their Aadhaar card.
The Aadhar card drive is not getting completed in the suburban regions included in Chennai district. Because of which, the Aadhaar card photo section run is getting extended till March of this year.
