100 Parks to be added next year- Chennai Corporation decision

Chennai Corporation has decided to install another 100 parks in the city.
Chennai Corporation
constructs, manages and maintains the parks in the city. Last year, it
announced that 200 new parks will be installed throughout the city.
87 parks have been
completed. Construction activities are in progress in another 107 park
locations. The plan to install parks has been cancelled at 4 places due to
unavoidable reasons.
As such, 100 parks
are planned. Studies have been undertaken for suitable locations of the parks
in more than 400 places.
