First Phase of Placement Drive Ends in IIT-M – 786 Students Got Placed

During the placement tenure of Indian Institute of Technology- Madras (IIT-M) this year, the Tech monster Cognizant gave its maximum of 27 offers.

The first phase of the placement drive makes its start on 1 December, last year. From about 906 offers made by 231 companies, 786 students have been placed till now.

The highest offer based in the United Sates was Rs.1.3 Crores per annum package and eight students received offers worth Rs.77 lakhs per annum from international companies.The uppermost domestic offer this year was Rs. 48.68 lakh per annum and more than 35 students acknowledged offers of Rs.20 lakh per annum.

Deputy Registrar of Students Recruitments, IIT-M, Lt. Col. Jayakumar, whispered that the placements will definitely go on till the end of the academic session.Nearly 145 students of the mechanical department have got their offers, topping the other departments at IIT-M. In percentage astute, Computer science student ranks first in first phase.

About 18 students got their offers in Samsung Research India, Bangalore, followed by 17 students got placed in Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies.About 25 international companies commence its hiring on the first day in three shifts. The second phase of recruitment is currently in play.a
