Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal today said low-cost tablet PC Aakash 4 will be available in the market in around one and a half months.
“Aakash 4 will be available in the market in one or one and a half months. It’s a modern tablet and will be available for around Rs 3,999,” Sibal said here. He added the Directorate General of Supplies and Disposals (DGSD) has already floated the tenders for the tablet.
The new tablet seems to be better than previous version. Aakash 4 will come with 7 inch scratch resistant capacitative touch screen, Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G and 4G, 4GB internal storage, 32 GB expandable memory and front camera. It will apparently have no rear camera. There are several tablets in the market already available for close to this price that look as much enticing as Aakash 4. The new tablet may still get some good response in the market.
