Applications for film festival by US consulate general, Chennai

The public affairs office of the US consulate general, Chennai, is looking for proposals for the inaugural Daniel Pearl Film Festival. The consulate will fund the film festival taking place in Chennai, Bangalore and Kochi. This project will honour the ideals portrayed by Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, who was killed by militants and discuss the importance of a free and fair press. The competition is open to NGOs and nonprofit institutions that meet US and/or Indian technical and legal requirements. Deadline for applications is March 31.
