City temperature to go up this month

Chennai city temperature is slowly on the rise this month, after over a month of cloudy, breezy weather.
In the last few years, the month of March has recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degree Celsius and above.
Met officials said, in the last few days, the maximum temperature had been hovering around 31-32 C while the minimum has been in the range of 20-23 C. Sunday recorded a maximum of 32C and a minimum of 24C.
March generally is when it gets warmer. According to the regional meteorological department, in 2011, March recorded a maximum temperature of 37.7C, which was the highest in the last 10 years.
