Second International Convention Program: Six-Day Seminar at IIT

Amid tweeting of birds and crackling of leaves; IIT-Madras campus will the boom of music during the month of June.

IIT-M campus hold its hands with MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth), in conveying a petite Gurukul Program mainly based on the Indian traditional arts and custom.This Second International Convention will commence from 8 to 14 of June in IIT-M campus. 

As the beginning, a flute concert by Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasiawas held at IIT-M on Thursday evening. Around 1,500 alumni’s of the IIT-M College who have been hosting their play in different stream were expected to participate in this event.

Main objective of this convention program is to add the taste of new dimension of life to the young scholars other than the formal education, says Kiran Seth, founder, SPIC MACAY.

Even IIT-M plans to enter into a long term agreement with SPIC MACAY organization in order to introduce Indian Arts into their curriculum, said L S Ganesh, dean of IIT-M.Final list of the concert will be soon published on 15, March.
