License for New Banks – Authorized by Election Commission

License will be given to several new banks in upcoming weeks, stated by the Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan.

Bank services should reach various suburban and rural village people. Central government is taking several measuring steps in order to increase the count of the banks, so that people from various places can easily attain the benefits of the bank services.

In this stance, many private sectors can be served with the license to open new banks, announced by the central government. Reserve Bank of India is giving its helping hand in taking necessitate steps.About 25 private organizations have rendered its application seeking the license from Reserve Bank of India. 

A committee under the head of Reserve Bank of India’s former governor Pimal Jalan has been analyzing the application for evaluating the suitable and worthy candidates list. During last month, committee has relinquished the report to the Reserve Bank of India.

In between, regarding the bank license Central Finance Minister P.Chidambaram has given up a statement few days before: “Even though the work has been commenced for the parliament election, Government measures will not be getting stopped in any ways; bank license will be issued soon as per the plan”.
