Test run of Metro Rail on both the tracks soon

Work is going on to enable the test run on both the tracks in the section between Koyambedu and Ashok Nagar.
Metro Rail project has 2 corridors. In the corridor between Central Railway Station and St. Thomas Mount, the section between Koyambedu and Ashok Nagar, elevated track, electric traction work has been completed on one track. Test run was successfully completed on this track. The test run was conducted by running the train with 4 coaches.
Before testing the other trains, test run is being carried out on the track laid at Koyambedu. After completing this, they will be test run on the section between Ashok Nagar & Koyambedu. Plans are made to conduct the test run on the second track in this section.
