The institute offers B. Sc. (Honours) 3-year degree courses in Mathematics, Computer Science and Chemistry. +2 passed students can join. Admission will be based on the entrance test. Reservations are available for S.C., S. T., & O B C as per central government.

Students who join the 3-year B Sc (Honours) Course will be paid Paid Monthly scholarship of Rs. 4000/- and an additional Rs. 1000/- for other expenses.

The students completing the course have a chance to pursue further studies in foreign universities such as Harvard University and Yale University and Indian Statistics Institute. Those who do not want to pursue further studies get recruited by reputed companies with a good emoluments package.

Chennai Mathematical Institute has announced the details of admission for the academic year 2014-15.

Entrance exams will be conducted in major cities all over India on 15th May. Entrance exam s will be conducted at Chennai, Coimbatore and Trichy. Minimum qualification for admission to the B Sc course is +2 pass. Minimum qualification for admission to the post-graduate course is a degree in the chosen subject. Ph. D. course applicants should be minimum degree holders.
