Chicken pox cases are on the rise right at the beginning of summer this year. April and May are two months that find increased number of chicken pox patients. In the recent days, doctors find more number of patients suffering from the condition. It is an acute viral infectious disease caused by Varicella Zoster Virus. It begins with boils on chest and back together with body pain, fever, chillness and tiredness. Though it is severe, it is self-limiting and the patient doesn`t have to worry. Through medication, one can control its severity. This being an exam season, handling chickenpox in children will naturally be intimidating.

Speaking to one of a school principal, she said she is finding more of class 7th and 8th students affected by the disease. These students are told to get back to school only after complete recovery. For attending the examination, they`ve provided separate exam halls, she added. The relief here is none of the 12th Standard students is so far been affected by chickenpox.
