VIT gets award for its Technology Business Incubator
The Technology Business Incubator is a concept
to assist Technocrats who are aspiring to become entrepreneurs; by providing
all necessary information to get contacts and connections., financial
assistance for development, , help to establish R & D , necessary
training etc., As initiative TBI has been established d in
many centers in India including the one in VIT. The TBI centre in VIT
has provided state of the art facilities to the aspiring entrepreneurs at
cost of Rs 2 Crores. In the last three years, VIT‘s TBI has
developed 10 entrepreneurs and assisted them with financial assistance to the
tune of Rs 1 Croe at a low rate of interest. In appreciation of their
operation the VIT‘s TBI has got national award. This award was presented to the
Chancellor of the University G Viswanathan by Prithiviraj Chavan , the
Minister for State for Science and Technology.
