WRD COMES TO THE AID OF CHINNAKUPPAM RESIDENTS.

Water Resources is planning a project to protect the Ennore shoreline
from erosion. The project is building Groynes near the hamlets of Chinnakuppam
on Ennore Express way. The WRD has proposed to two groynes fields consisting of
two groynes each over a two kilometer stretch. This is to prevent sand accretion.
The project awaits clearance by the central government; once cleared the
project is expected to be completed in a year’s time .
