Coutrallam and Taj Mahal now in Chennai

Kalaignar Karunanidhi Tamilnadu inaugurated the 45 day summer fair
‘Kodai Thiruviza’ organized by the Tamilnadu Tourism Development Corporation
Ltd. The fair has been drawing large crowd; more than 60000 people have visited
since Friday last. . The main attractions are Replica of Coutrallam ‘Ayyan
Aruvi’ and Replica of ‘Taj Mahal’. The Aruvi can accommodate about 240 people a
t a time. Ayyan created at a cost running over several lakhs is likely to run
it beyond the exhibition duration or the same space may be used for more water
sports. The Aruvi has different enclosures for Male, Female and Children and a
common pond. The entry fee for the Aruvi is Rs 150 for adults and Rs 100 for
Children.
