Provident fund ceiling raised

Post offices are now accepting deposits of Public Provident Fund with increased limit of Rs.1.50 lakh. The earlier ceiling was Rs.1 lakh. The Central government recently revised the maximum limit that is applicable both to existing PPF accounts and new ones opened on or after August 13.
