Crowd in T.Nagar leaves people irksome

Having made all roads one-way, it has become a hectic to park two-wheelers or cars in and around places in T.Nagar, the major shopping zone of entire Chennai. Complaints are on the rise from shoppers saying it is difficult for them to park vehicles. They say they are forced to leave their vehicle at distant places like Valluvar Kottam or Saidapet and walk all the way to T.Nagar.
Problem of congestion has always been prevailing in T.Nagar since long. The problem was very severe in early months of 2000, says a retailer at T.Nagar.
Customers are attracted in more numbers to the multi-storeyed building complexes which in turn makes the locality more crowded, says a resident of T.Nagar. He adds that there are even people who left T.Nagar due to the congestion here. Furthermore, the transit route for Mambalam and Saidapet adds more congestion to the area.
