New website for consumer complaints: Central Minister Mr. Paswan’s information!

The central Minister for Food & Consumer Affairs, Mr. Ram Vilas Paswan, informed that a new web site is being formed for the benefit of consumers’ complaints.
Rules, laws, & regulations are being formed to address the different complaints/problems faced by the consumers. A new Consumer Protection Centre will be formed.
The Consumer protection Centre will be given all the powers to take necessary legal actions against the erring companies/corporations. There are 102 items where ‘BIS’ is a ‘MUST’. This will now be expanded to 1200 different products. Action against false information through advertisements is also planned.
