Assembly elections are scheduled for the states of Maharashtra & Haryana from 15th October. BJP is making all-out efforts to win these elections and form the government in these 2 states.
Central ministry of petroleum had recommended to increase the price of cooking gas last month. However, the central government has decided to defer this issue to a later date keeping the coming elections in considerations.
In the prevailing situation, the price of crude oil in the international market has also been satisfactorily low leading the central government to declare a reduction in petrol & diesel prices.
Diesel prices will be reduced by Rs. 2/- per litre and petrol prices by 50 Paise per litre. This will be declared in the coming week. Leaders of BJP believe that announcing the reduction in fuel prices before the elections will help a very favourable result.
