Patterns of cylinder rates following dip in crude oil rates

According to government sources, though the subsidized price of gas cylinders is kept paused for few people, there is no difference in price of cylinders as of now.
Government is currently providing subsidy to the oil companies providing petroleum products. These oil companies fix the price of petroleum products based on the price of crude oil in the international market.
Following a recent dip in price of crude oil in the international market, there were changes in price of petrol in India. However, owing to the significant subsidy provided for cooking gas cylinders in India, no change in price of cylinders is imposed following the decrease in crude oil rates.
At the same time, it is to be noted that the government stopped providing gas cylinders at subsidized rates for few people. Despite this, there will be no change in price of cylinders, say government sources.
Amidst these, chances are that rates of cylinders may see a hike during the winter season that is fast reaching.
