Reserve bank of India is all set to allow banks to quote exclusive charges for each and every online banking transaction made by customers.
As a step to ease all transaction procedures handled by the users, ATM and online banking facilities are made available for the customers. Initially, customers were able to use ATM cards in the respective bank to which the card belongs to. This then got changed and users were allowed to make transactions in any ATM using cards of any bank. Following this, charges were imposed on usage of ATM that is done more than 5 times in other banks. The charge was Rs 20/transaction.
Amidst all these commotions and new rules, HDFC bank introduced a new rule as per which users were charged for the transactions they make more than 5 numbers.
Not being satisfied enough with these many rules, new charges and restrictions, banks are now set to quote charges for customers’ online transactions as well, say sources.
