ARMY RECRUITMENT FROM NOVEMBER 9 AT ULUNDURPET

R. Palanisamy, the Collector of Villupuram District announced that an Army recruitment rally will be held at the Pali Special Police Force Grounds in Ulundurpet near here from November 9 to 14. About 1,000 candidates will be selected for six categories of services in the Army. R Palanisamy reviewed the arrangements for the recruitment rally along with Colonel Tushar S. Bhakay, Major R.J. Kamath and Sub-Major Khudanoor of the Army Recruitment, Chennai Directorate and other officials here on Friday.
According to the announced made by Mr. Palanisamy to the media that the recruitment rally is for selecting candidates residing in the districts of Villupuram, Vellore, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai, Cuddalore and Chennai, and Puducherry. The selection is for the six categories in the Army such as soldier technical, nursing assistants, soldier general, soldier tradesmen, soldier clerk and storekeepers.
The eligibility is passing in from VIII Class to Plus-Two for various categories. Even graduates in certain disciplines can participate. For the soldier general, the age should be from 17 years and six months to 21 years (those born between November 10, 1989 and May 8, 1993). For all other cadres, it must be from 17 years and six months to 23 years (those born between November 10, 1987 and May 8, 1993).Candidates will have to bring their original certificates along with Photostat copies for scrutiny.
