Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry are experiencing such a hot climate and sun unlike ever before. People stay within their home and don’t step out of it being scared of this weather. People find it irksome to travel under this hot sun in two wheeler or auto.
Amidst these, it is said that the effect of this hot sun will continue for few more days up to first week of June, according to meteorological department. This hot climate and hot sun hugely affects young children. Hence, schools in Pondicherry have postponed their reopening date to 12th June.
Tamil Nadu’s board of education announced that all government and government-aided schools will reopen on 1st June. Now, as the reopening date in Pondicherry is postponed, parents have plead to the government requesting for similar postponement in Tamil Nadu schools as well.
In a press meet held today, the secretary of board of education, Sabeetha said there will be no postponement with the reopening of schools and that the schools will reopen on 1st June as per plans. However, it now seems that there may be changes in reopening date and that the schools may reopen on 8th June.
