CM INAUGURATES CHENNAI SANGAMAM

Kalaignar Karunanidhi , The Chief Minister Inaugurated the Chennai Sangamam from the Island grounds on Wednesday. In his speech he said that the pride of Tamils is paramount and hope that the Chennai Sangamam would be inspiration to people of Tamilnadu. According to a functionary of Tamilmayam, Kalaignar has donated Rs One Crore towards organizing the events in the city. ‘Therukoothu’ is a special is this edition; is expected to evoke good response from public.Therukoothu will be performed in the Sivan park on Thursday and Friday and in the WIMCO Nagar corporation park, Tiruvottiyur on Saturday and Sunday; All the programs will start from 9.30 PM and will be expected to go beyond midnight.
The events of Chennai Sangamam will happen in the following parks: Anna Park, Royapuram, Tower Park, Anna Nagar, Thiru Vi Ka Park- Shenoy Nagar, Natesan Park, T Nagar, Trust Puram Corporation Park – Kodambakkam, Thanthai Periyar Thidal- Valasaravakkam, Lady Wellington-Marina, Nageshwara Rao Park –Mylapore, Elliot’s beach- Besent Nagar, Murasoli Maran Fly Over Park, Perambur, WIMCO Nagar Park, Tiruvottiyur.
