Dr MGR Medical University introduce new grading system for medical colleges

The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University has launched a new grading system for over 290 medical, dental, Indian medicine and allied health sciences colleges affiliated to it.  Colleges will be evaluated based on infrastructure, administration, finance, quality of academic input, placement opportunity and student care.

“The university has proposed to device a robust rating system, to rank the affiliated colleges based on the rating system and to derive set of action points for colleges to improve their performance standard on various evaluated parameters. The survey will start on May 1 and will go on for 11 weeks.” Said Dr. Sudha Seshayyan, registrar of the university.

The university has urged principals to make necessary improvements in the college and take up the rating system with full confidence to get the top star status. “We will be periodically rating the colleges so as to enable colleges with lesser grade to improve their standards.
