US Education Fair, Chennai

The American Education Expo returns to Chennai this year as one of the largest education fairs in India. The expo will be held on 24th February Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hotel Park Sheraton. This event is hosted by International Student Network and supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. Consulate General. There is no entry fee for students and parents.
 
The U.S. remains the number one destination for students seeking higher education abroad. The U.S. currently hosts over 565,000 foreign students, a number higher than any other country in the world. During 2009-2010 academic year, 127,628 Indian students enrolled in U.S. colleges and universities.

In addition to the opportunity to network with U.S. admissions counselors, the American Education Expo will also feature a Student Visa Seminar presented by a U.S. Visa Consular, and a Scholarship Fair hosted by presenting universities featuring scholarships from the top 15 universities in U.S. The Student Visa Seminar will address how Indian students can get a student visa. The Scholarship Fair will explain many scholarship opportunities available to Indian students. At Scholarship Fair, information on merit-based scholarships will be made available. Students will have to bring copies of their transcripts and TOEFL scores to find out eligibility for scholarships.

The fair will provide information on top U.S. universities, such as Drexel University. Drexel University is the top engineering university in the entire United States, and is also home to the country’s top co-op program!
