There will be slots for five companies on the first day of the drive. Students from undergraduate and post-graduate levels belonging to circuit and non-circuit branches will be picked by core companies.

The processor added that a state-level placement will take in December at three zones. Twelve such drives took place last year and it saw participation from five major companies. This had participation from about 2500 students. The total number of participating companies are eyed to be increased, he added.

About 120 students got placed during the first round of recruitment by the Centre of University Industry Collaboration (CUIC) that took place in August. Their pay scale ranged between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 24 lakh.

Microsoft, CodeNation, Pay Pal, Adobe, Flipkart, eBay, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Amazon, Qualcomm and Chronous are some of the companies that took part in the drive. There are many more IT companies that are set to take part in the following two months.
