Rotary Club of Madras ‘Educator Extraordinaire Award’ to Mr.Anand Kumar

The Rotary Club of Madras, presented the Educator Extraordinaire Award to Mr.Anand Kumar, Founder of the Super 30 school.
Super 30 is a Bihar based initiative that helps poor children chase the IIT dream. Amazingly, in each of the last 3 years, all 30 students in the batch have made it to the IITs!
The students of Super 30- children of brick kiln workers, rickshaw pullers, landless farmers; roadside vendors and the like-are provided coaching, lodging and food, all totally free of charge. Anand Kumar does not take financial support for Super 30 from any government or private agency.
Over the last eight years, Anand Kumar have enabled 212 students who might not have otherwise had the opportunity, to attend the most prestigious technical institutions, in the country, thus making a positive impact on those students, their families, and on society.
Anand Kumar have served as a role model for others, and today, following in your footsteps, institutions like the Guru Nanak University, and Gurukul Vidyapeeth have taken on the responsibility of reaching out to teach and train indigent students to take on competitive examinations for the IITS.
The Rotary Club of Madras takes pride in acknowledging the efforts of Anand Kumar in transforming society and presents this prestigious Award to this Super hero.
