During a survey by the Pan-STARRS I on October 10, asteroid 2015 TB145 came into the radar. The Pan-STARRS is short for Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System. The telescope spots and tracks asteroids and comets, especially those that may pose a danger to Earth. Near Earth asteroids are being constantly discovered by this telescope.

According to a NASA bulletin, the asteroid 2015 TB145 is a big one and one of the few that come close enough to Earth to study its surface. Even though the asteroid will be too far away to harm the Earth, scientists will be able to get imaging on it.

Say scientists at NASA, We won`t get another known asteroid this big at this close of an approach until 1999 AN10 arrives in August 2027... The fast-moving object may be cometary in nature. If that`s the case, it could be made up of rock, ice and dust, whereas asteroids consist mainly of rock and metals.
