The shooting of the film Thollaikkatchi is taking place in a rapid pace in and around Pollachi. Ashwin is donning the lead role. Janani is pairing with him. Manobala, Mayilsamy, Subbu Arunachalam and Aadhavan are donning important roles. This is a whole length comedy film. Tharan has composed the music for the lyrics penned by Na Muthukumar. M Sadiq Khan who was earlier assistants to A R Murugadoss and Lingusamy is directing the film. Bala Senthil Raja is producing the film under the banner Kayalaya Productions.
