International symposium on medicinal plants for human health and livestock wealth

PG and Research Department of Botany, Pachaiyappa`s College, Chennai will hold an international symposium on medicinal plants and herbal drugs for human health and livestock wealth.
The three days symposium, from 29-31 January, will have 800 participants from 20 states of India and other countries such as USA, Turkey, China, Korea, Uzbekistan and Bangladesh.
The representatives will be from academic and research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, government, indigenous communities, traders, NGOs and other stakeholders.
The symposium will promote awareness among the international community about trends and efforts of governments, institutions to explore the importance of herbal medicine in the world market and prevent exploitation
