Posted on: 01/Feb/2016 3:54:17 PM
The central government is eyeing on making all new change in hotel, theatre and banking sectors. These sectors are set to function 24x7. Women working in these sectors will be facilitated with transportation and accommodation accordingly. The centre has rolled out a draft requesting for opinions from various ministries. These regulations are flexible to suit the needs of individual states.

Not all shops and industries will fall under this rule. Shopping malls, cinema theatres, and IT companies will function throughout the day on all days of the year. The centre is likely to insist this on the state government. This does not require approval by the parliament. The state government is free to adopt this idea or make modifications in the same, said Sankar Agarwal, federal labor secretary. This move will be of help to increase revenue of these industries. Shops and companies need to get approval from the local bodies before implementing the system.

This new act also proposes to provide approval for companies that do not fall under Factories Act, 1948 including cinema theatres, banks, shops and amusement parks.

This rule is not applicable for government offices and Reserve Bank of India. This move will be of help for creating suitable situation for understanding a business. It is also important for the companies to preserve well being of the employees.

At present, most companies, particularly e-commerce industries are bound to work for all the 365 days of the year. However, it is not practically possible to get approval for all sectors at a stretch. This new move will anyway be of great help for most of the industries.
