Tamil Nadu governments Avvaiyar Award for 2015-2016

Collector Govindaraj has invited applications for the Tamil Nadu government`s Avvaiyar Award for 2015-2016. The award is presented to a person for exceptional service for the development of women on the occasion of International Women`s Day. Persons born in Tamil Nadu and aged above 18 years can apply for the award. The persons should have been involved in social welfare activities and promote women development through language, art, culture and science.
The award will be presented by the Chief Minister and it carries a cash prize, gold medal and a citation.
Last date to apply is 5th February
