The department of Meteorological Research, located in Delhi, released the weather estimates for the period from April till March (Thursday, 31st March).

It is mentioned in the report that the temperature on the average will be higher by 1 degree Celsius, especially in the North & North-east parts of the country. Hot air might blow during this period.

The area from Delhi in the North till Telengana in the South is considered to be the hot air’ zone. It is estimated that there are 76 percent chances for higher temperatures in this zone. Mild air and frequent severe hot air might blow during the summer in these parts.

The Meteorological Department has explained that the phenomenon of El Nino is the reason for this hotter climate.

El-Nino which was formed over the Pacific Ocean last year is still persisting. However, it is expected to weaken over the coming periods.

The link between hot summers and El Nino  has been established during several past seasons as well.
