Met office issues heat wave warning for Chennaites

Government officials on Thursday on the advice of the Met office have issued a heat wave warning for the first time in Chennai. The Met office warned that the city`s southern localities and Kanchipuram district could experience a steep rise in temperatures well above the 40°C mark.
Government has cautioned Chennaites n the southern suburbs of Chennai not to venture out in the sun from pre-noon through the afternoon on Friday.
