Another Thalichifying day for Tamil Nadu, Chennai will suffer too

Entire India sizzled. Titalgarh in Odhisha was second hottest place in entire world recording 47.5 C. Only Matam (Senegal) recorded higher temperature at 48.0 C. In Tamil Nadu the furnance region of Tiruttani recorded 43.0 C while Vellore got 42.7 C. Chennai city got 40.8 and Airport 41.8 C. Both stations recording 40 C in April after 10 years.

The winds are still blowing parallely off the coast and the dry westerly winds are reaching the city resulting in spike in temperature. The city yesterday got respite from sea breeze around 1.30 pm while the further inland Chennai Air Port sizzled till 3.00 pm as it takes time for sea breeze to move inland. It is going to be another similar day for Chennai.
